Title I School

**Check the link at the bottom of the page for the most current plan of action regarding our Title 1 status**

Theodore Roosevelt Elementary School is a school wide Title I school. The school receives federal monies based on the number of students who qualify for reduced and free lunches. Funds are used to improve academic achievement. Roosevelt Elementary School has been designated a Focus school from 2012-13 through the 2014-15 school years. This designation provides support and intervention to close achievement gaps between student subgroups.

We believe that Family Engagement is key to student achievement and success. Don't forget to view our Calendar of Events for Family Engagement Opportunities.

NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND INFORMATION

As a school wide Title I school, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), formerly No
Child Left Behind (NCLB), requires that we inform you that you have the right to request
information regarding the qualifications of our teachers and paraprofessionals who work
at Roosevelt Elementary. Information about specific teachers regarding state licensing,
qualifications, degrees held, fields of discipline, and certification may be requested in
writing via email through our Family Liaison and Title I Coordinator, Marty
Meade. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible.

One hundred percent of our teachers and paraprofessionals meet state licensing criteria
in the subjects and grades taught. No teachers are teaching on waivers or on a
provisional status. One hundred percent of our teachers meet the highly qualified
standards for the subject and grade level to which they are assigned.
