Kingsport City Schools Board of Education to Hold Special Called Meeting

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Kingsport City Schools Board of Education will hold a special called meeting on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 4 p.m. in the Tennessee Room at the KCS Administrative Support Center, 400 Clinchfield Street, third floor, downtown Kingsport. All Board meetings are open to the public.
The purpose of this special called business meeting is to consider the employment of an individual as Superintendent and to authorize the chairman of the Board of Education to negotiate the terms of a contract with such individual for consideration and approval by the board at a later date.

Kingsport City Schools (KCS) is a public school district located in Kingsport, Tenn., serving students in Sullivan and Hawkins county. The district is comprised of 13 schools, including a Pre-K, eight elementary schools, two middle schools, one high school, a high school program of choice and an alternative learning program; with total enrollment over 7,700 students.
